As promised, Miley Cyrus
revealed the forthcoming title of her new album on Tuesday, August 6
after her Twitter followers reached 13 million and she did with a simple
tweet of "13 million #BANGERZ." The twerking pop rock superstar
followed it up with an explanation but it seems fans would need to hear
the music first before they could understand the choice for the album
title.
"If you don't know why my record is called BANGERZ you'll know as soon
as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ," the "We Can't Stop" singer assured
her followers. Then she fueled fans' anticipation even more by dropping
a nine-second audio snippet of a track with the same title that will be
featuring her fellow Disney-bred star Britney Spears.
The two pop stars have gone on to bond over not only their common stints
as Disney princesses but also over the fact that they, at some point,
detested being one of the most paparazzi-sought celebrities around.
"Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don't want their
picture taken every day," said Cyrus.
Cyrus revealed Spears understood her struggles because they both
practically led the same path and dealt with the same downside of
superstardom. "She just never had that time where she could say, 'I'm
going through something right now and need to shut down.' I also don't
have that, so it's good to have that one person in my life who gets it,"
 she said.
